my dad's behavior

Stevie on Behavior - Mon, August 13 2007

Do any of you other "little guys" abandon your mommy for your daddy. If mom is sitting on the couch and dad sits down, I ALWAYS move over to dad's lap. Mom says that her dogs have abandoned her! Mom also says that she feels like she should get dad a "purse" to carry me around in...that's how bad it's gotten. Funny was, when mom brought both Jude and I home, dad didn't like walking us because 1, we are both tiny, "girly" dogs 2, we have pink leashes or leashes with sparkles on them....But now dad has changed....he doens't seem to mind the pink. And I have become his "baby girl" and he gets very upset if any of his friends are rough with me or if any dogs are rough with me. He's not quite as bad with Jude. Mom says that means that she's going to have to get another little dog that loves her more...maybe a little boy!! LOL! Any of this happen to your moms?

I'm a total momma's boy. BUT, Emmy (who has been Mom's cat for over 7 years) and Max (Mom and Dad got him together around Thanksgiving) have both abandoned her in favor of Dad's lap/chest. That's ok, though... it means more cuddle time for ME!!

We're both Mom's girls. In fact, when they both come home, we rush to Mom and leave Dad saying "Hello?! What am I chopped liver?" We love Daddy too (esp when the word Bath is muttered) but Mom rules

I've always been a Daddy's girl... he gives the BEST neck rubs!
Holly and Lucy are Mama's girls.

Mom is generally my favorite, except when dad sits down and says "hugs and kisses, Maddie." Then I jump in his lap, put my paws around his neck, and mop his face with my tongue! Sydney launches herself into his lap unannounced, and usually gets yelled at. Apparently men don't like ungainly, long-legged dogs leaping into their laps. Mom said something about anatomy.
