I'm Gray

Daphne Marie on My Blog - Thu, August 09 2007

Help !!!!! I looked at myself in the mirror today, and my muzzle is turning gray!!!! Oh Nooooooooo. Does that mean I'm becoming an old woman? And to top it off, my tummy must be upset today because I've been eating a lot of grass. I am so not happy about this. Any suggestions on how to cope?

Poor Daphne! Your tummy is probably upset because you're so worried about those gray hairs. Maybe mom will dye your muzzle for you. After all, us girls need to look our best! :)

Daphne, you'll always be beautiful no matter what color you are.

Just age gracefully, Daph...it's ok.

Daphne: Don,t worry about the gray, nothing wrong with becoming mature, and it sure beats the alternative.

Dad and Butch have gray hair and mom says that's their wisdom showing! Maybe you shouldn't dye it. It will let everyone know you've lived long enough to gain some wisdom!

Hey cuz....it's okay to be gray....it's a sign of greatness....my snout is practically all grey, so I'm really, really great. Notice how they sound alike? Gray and Great? See? I think the tummy thing is because of the heat and not being our normal selves. Hope you feel better....Peaches says she does too!

Yeah, I hear ya, Daphne...look at my pic...eeek! Why do goldens get gray so early? I'm young....just 6!

Daph, DO NOT sweat it...remember, real girls don't sweat!! We perspire gracefully, and that is how we shall be with our graying muzzles! It's ironic you should mention your muzzle...mom just put up a new close-up pic of me last night. She was talking about how it captured my graying muzzle (**sigh.**)

Maggie, we girls "glisten" when we sweat.

One of the great things about being a dog is that we always live in the moment and we don't know any better than to worry about how old we are. Too bad humans can't think like us! My advice is to just live in the moment and enjoy your wonderful life with your loving mommy and daddy...but I do hope your tummy feels better!!!

Hey I know how ya feel. I think I am starting to turn a little gray myself. Maybe we should do what Mom does. She gets this stinky stuff in a box and puts it in her hair and the gray goes away for awhile. It always comes back though. Don't quite understand all that. I bet you will look great any way!!

Oh, my sweet girl! I would love you no matter what color your hair is! I started getting a gray muzzle when I was about 5, and Yogi it's getting gray, too. Mama is getting gray too, but she cheats and uses hair color. Do they make that for doggies?
