Hey everybody! Look at the calendar. The day has finally arrived. The charity event for homeless animals is now on there. It's the dog ice cream social! Woo Hoo!

We went last year when it was at Broad Ripple park, and it was so much fun! I had three ice cream treats! I ate mine, then I ate Teddy's, and then the lady gave me another one. I must admit, I had a tummy ache later.

I don't know if we'll be able to come this year, but you all should go! It's on August 18th at Military Park from 12-5. I believe it's put on by FACE.

Mama wants us to go to the lake house that weekend, but there is so much going on that weekend that we're trying to convince her to stay home here in Indy.

Oh - we should all go and make it an un-official Indy Paws event! Too bad we don't have bandanas or something to ID us as IndyPaws!

Wow, Ojo, that would be a great idea. When we see other dogs in various places we always wonder if they are our virtual friends. Maybe we could all agree to wear a certain color of bandana, like RED, when we went to an event, or even to the PetSmart. Our humans could put our names on them if they wanted. If we saw a dog with a red bandana we would know that it was probably an IndyPaws friend, and our humans could finally meet each other and us!

Our mom forgot--she is going to be at the ARPO booth at the fair! Please stop by and talk with her, as she is anxious to meet all of our virtual friends from IndyPaws! Maybe she will wear a red bandana! We don't get to go. Too long and too hot. But we will be sure to smell all of you on her clothes when she returns. xoxo Sydney
