Frequent Poppy

Shadow on Health - Mon, August 06 2007

I was spayed on Thursday and it seems like I go to the poppy an awful lot since then. I am always at the back door and Mom takes me out and I go for a lonnnng time. Does anyone know if this is normal?

I like to pee a lot but I'm not neutered. Mom says I just enjoy going potty. My sister pees a lot for a long time too and she is spayed. But she is a big dog. I think frequent urination goes hand and hand with a UTI. Ask your vet but you might be like me and say I have to go pee just for the sake of checking on what's going on outside.

Yes, that is common after being spayed. It probably still hurts some. It should diminish by the end of the week. It feels like you have to go that often but it's probably just from the soreness.I even had accidents in the house right afterwards-I was so ashamed.

There is probably still some swelling that is pushing on the bladder. If it doesn't get better in a few days, have your Mama take a urine sample to the vet to rule out an infection.

Hey everyone...Mom took me to the doctor because I just was not feeling well. I do have an infection and the doctor shot me three times and stuck a needle in my rear and shot water in me! She also put a thing in my rear and said I have a temp and I would guess so with that thing back there. I now have to take antibotics twice a day. I hope I feel better soon! Mom is really worried about me!
