I have some bad news and some good news. The good news is that I was notified by Dad today that we will be going to visit Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Mikey, and his cat Gigi. I love to play with Gigi, although she hates me. With her being deaf, I can sneak right up and pounce on her. However, Uncle Mikey says that isn't nice not only because she can't hear, but also because she hates other animals...even cats. But, I can't help it because it's so funny! By the time she turns around to wack me I'm gone! Ha ha ha. It's even better when I play with her tail. She doesn't like it at all. However, I think she is warming up to me. You can see in my photos that we slept in the same bed the last time I was over there. Too fun. Now, for the bad news. It involves an hour and fifteen minute car ride, and that means I have to be in that stupid crate. I hate the crate! I wish I could secretly destroy it. It generally takes Dad an upward of forty-five minutes to put me in the crate. Then, I begin my meowing session for the whole ride. I just don't like it. Needless to say, I'm not looking forward to the trip there and back. Oh well, I guess there could be worse things like going to the vet. We'll just have to wait and see how things go tomorrow.

Oh, Boomer.... the car ride to our grandma's house is 6 1/2 hours!! We just returned from Grandma and Grandpa's yesterday. We're (Cookie and me) in the crate, in the back of the Trailblazer with the stinky dogs RIGHT in front of us. Your trip sounds like a little slice of Heaven compared to what we have to endure. We (Cookie and I) travel well, no fussing. We can't breathe, though, because of the dogs! Now PEARLE, on the other hand, meows almost constantly. SHE gets the back seat with our sissy!!!!!! WHY??!! I DON'T KNOW!!! To top it all off, sissy LET her ride all snuggled up next to her ON THE SEAT because "she was meowing, and I felt bad" She even gets to look out the WINDOW!!! I KNOW!! It's not fair. So, enjoy your trip and just remember MY situation when you start getting upset, K?? I need some catnip....

Umm...Oreo, I think we have some unresolved issues concerning Perle and her car riding abilities. However, I do agree that you recieve the raw end of the deal. A 6.5 hour drive! That is insane. And in a crate...how do you make it? You are one tough cookie! (Pun intended)

Um, therapy much, Oreo? Boomer, how about some Rescue Remedy? Or some of those supplements they sell at PetSmart for anxiety? My spazzy sister Maggie used to take Rescue Remedy when we first go her...she hated the car.

Therapy would be nice. What unresolved issues about Pearle do we need to discuss Boomer?
