Our Mom says that school shouldn't start till the day after Labor Day, like it did way way way back when she was a kid. After statements like this, she usually says something like "Well times have changed" or "Things just aren't what they used to be". It's not that Mom is old or anything, well, she is just a little, I guess, but lets not tell her I said that. I mean, after all, she IS approaching that MILESTONE birthday soon!!!!

I heard mom say to dad the other night that this whole year has flown by! Mom says that's because it's been so busy. At the beginning of this year it was just me, mom and dad. Now, it's us plus Alex, Butch and Minnie! Our family doubled already!

Wow, the 9th is sort of early, even for Indy, unless the school is on a year-round schedule. Mom said when she went to school here, it always started the third week of August, on a Wednesday (like the 19th or 23rd or something).

Yogi wasn't very clear. It starts the 9th for teachers and the 13th for students, but that is still soooooo early! Mama was shopping today and couldn't figure out why she was in such a cruddy mood, and then she realized why. Oh well, at least we had a good month with her!
