Good to know the kids survived day 3. You may want to check out your deck once they remove those shingles. If there is any damage I would make the company pay for it.

taijah, i'm definitely planning on checking everything when it's all done, LOL. actually, the roofer is a friend of my dads, and he even lays down giant tarps around the house as they are doing the job, and everything falls on it. they just pulled it aside so i could get in and out of the side door. the guy told me that when it's all done he goes around the whole house with a metal detector to make sure there's no stray nails, so he sounds pretty thorough, thankfully. i do plan on borrowing my dad's power washer to wash the deck when it's all done, though, because there was 3 layers of shingles up there, so probably 60 years worth, at LEAST, maybe more! i don't want my dogs being around anything that could be harmful to them like asbestos or anything. plus i want my deck washed off, LOL.
