Pit Bulls get a chance in DC area

O'Brien on Breeds - Mon, July 30 2007

This is a great story from the Washington Post. Sad how they have been treating pitties in past policies, but nice to see that they are making changes in the right direction.

An exerpt:
Loudoun isn't the only jurisdiction that has singled out the pit bull as the bete noire of its animal adoption facility. But a wave of new policies and proposals is sweeping the Washington region as shelters acknowledge a fact of life that many jurisdictions have long ignored: Not all pit bulls are dangerous.

I'm so glad people are finally learning that breed doesn't matter. People shape a dog's personality and because of that, any dog can become aggressive. Thank you for sharing! I hope our city never goes the BSL route.

This is a great story. I hope they follow through with what they say.

Yipp, yipp, yippee!!!! It was great to see that somethings are changing for the better in the case of pits, pit-mixes, and other bully breeds. Thanks for the link!
