jasper and mikey's vet trip!

this morning i took jasper and mikey to the vet. two weeks ago, jasper was slightly limping on his front right leg. i gave him glucosamine, and some other stuff, it slowly started to get better. so on this past thursday, hubby and i notice MIKE limped!! on that SAME front leg!! on friday when i got home from work, he's being so dramatic, he's holding that leg way up in the air, and running around the house (actually HOPPING) on three legs!!! so i did the same regimen for mike, it did get better, but still took them both in. she could feel a little resistance on jasper's shoulder, probably his age, and him getting too rough with joe, playing. prescribed daily aspirin, no steroids (YAAAA!), on mikey, she didn't feel anything, so he probably just strained it when running around on the hardwoods wednesday (he was getting goofy, peeling out on the wood floor)so he's fine. he's shedding really bad, so we put him back on his melatonin, which he used to be on, for hair loss. he has a type of alopecia that makes little bald spots on either side, in the same spots. anyhow, we're going to try that for 6 months this time (instead of 3 or 4) and if he's still looking like that, then we will re-check the thyroid. (results on thyroid last winter were fine). so that is the scoop, and now those boys are CRASHED out, after their excitement this morning. i'm just glad everything was ok with their limping! ;o)
