The Wall

Boomer on My Blog - Mon, July 30 2007

Ok, this is Boomer's Dad. I read his post, and I feel it's time for me to set the record straight. Boomer's red velvet mouse is no doubt his favorite. He carries it around the house everywhere he goes! This mouse has a tear in it's head, it's left leg is falling off,has no stuffing or catnip left, and the feel of velvet has turned into a gritty papery feel. All of this took place within a month. Granted, I tried my best to revive the mouse. I put more catnip in it and did my best to sew up the broken pieces. However, by the end of month two there was no saving this mouse. Boomer had mutilated it. Granted, in Boomer Calendar Years the mouse last a mear fourteen months, but to me, only two months. So, I think I am going to put it on the wall (Boomer has a Trophy Wall above his bed where the best of his toy kills are displayed. I find it as a nice honor to his cat-like playing abilities, but I don't think he shares the same passion. I'll post a pic of it later.) and buy him a new red velvet mouse, which only costs a dollar. I am sure he will be disappointed all day, but in the end he'll get over it.

You're such a good dad to Boomer. The wall is a really cool idea! If I kept everything Bev had destroyed though, it would be more like a room! :)

Let me get this straight...you put things up on the wall, that have been loved to death, out of reach where Boomer can't get them!!?? This seems a little bit like torture.... I hide my mice, mommy will never throw them away!! Never, I say!

Gee, I hope my fav toy, Pink Dog never gets put up. But I never tear her up, I just sleep on her and carry her around. Mom thinks that I think she's my baby.
