What does "helpful" mean?

Rebel on Behavior - Mon, July 23 2007

When I am in the kitchen under my Mom's feet when she is trying to make dinner or load the dishwasher, she tells me I'm "not being helpful". What does that mean? She never has to pick up any food that she drops and I would gladly lick the dishes clean if she would let me!

Your owner just means that you're in the way. I'm like that too, when I lay on the cool tile floor in-front of the kitchen and when I lay in-front of the oven when they cook. Your owner should give you something to keep you busy when she is.

Yep, it means your in the way but if you're cleaning the floor, I think that's helpful.
