Holey Moley!!!!

Annie on Behavior - Wed, July 11 2007

I did it!!!! I finally caught that stinkin mole that has been tormenting me. It wasn't easy, I had to sniff it out carefully and dig really fast but no way was I going to let it get away. Of course my dad took it from me before I really got to teach it a lesson for messing up the yard. It took me quite a while to snort all the dirt out of my nose. Darn moles.

Congratulations Annie! I bet your mommy and daddy were really happy that you got rid of the "little yard destroyer" I caught two moles in my yard once, mommy was happy until she had to fill in the swimming pool size hole I dug to get them. I mean come on what did she think I was going to get them without the heavy equipment. You should be happy that your daddy took it way before you had to taste it. Because trust me without the proper seasoning they taste terrible. If you get another one I recommend the Emeril's Bam cajun blend...

Why did your daddy take it away from you? All that hard work for nothing!

Maybe if I get some more practice in, we can start our own business--Mole Busters-- and we could have a big MoleKabob cookout afterwards.

Good job. People spend a lot of money trying to get rid of those things. Your mom should give you a big treat for saving her money.

Annie, you are my hero! I've never even SEEN a mole! But I would sure like to try to catch one!

We're so used to new critters that once we had a mole in our backyard and we just assumed it was another one of mom's rescues, so we let it waddle around with us as part of the family. I didn't KNOW they were vermin!! Boy did WE blow it...we'll know NEXT TIME!

Good job....I wish we could get rid of the chipmunks in our yard....evil things. They hide under mom's hostas and when we plow through them to get hold of the little vermin, she's yellin' to get out of the flower beds. I don't think she knows just how EVIL they are. Nasty creatures!

Annie, you are my idol! I've been trying to catch a squirrel for a million years & no luck yet. Keep on keepin' on!

I've caught moles in our yard too! I dig them right up!! We haven't had any since the summer I moved in. Now, if I could learn to catch those squirrels, it would be all good!

Now you need to come over and help me get rid of these huge black birds(Mom says they remind her of those flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz that could swoop down and grab me) and the 2 squirrels. Even the squirrels couldn't chase off the 5 black birds yesterday...Mom says it was like a scene from The Birds!

Maybe your new business could be called "The Moleinators" or "The Molemeisters"????

OH boy! Good job getting the mole! I know you posted this a while ago, but I am new here and had to tell you a big bad mole story. I got out of the yard one day, and was across the street at the place with big grain bins, and I found me a mole to play with. I chased it and chased it, and I got it under my paws a few times, and then it stood up and BIT ME! Right on my lip. It got the inside and the outside. I decided one thing right then.. NO MORE MOLES! I don't even dig holes in the yard anymore. I leave the mole catching to the goofy cats!
