I need a sitter

Simba on Boarding - Tue, July 10 2007

Does anyone know of a place on the east side of Indy that will board animals that are not spayed or neutered? My mom is getting a little upset because she couldn't take a couple of weekend trips because she couldn't find anyone to keep me. I'm afraid she's going to get rid of me because of it. Mom and Dad are used to being able to just pack up and go somewhere for long weekends because they didn't have pets. I was sort of just left with them and now she has to try to find someone to keep me when they want to go away. Usually, she has to stay home and I can tell she's not too happy about it. I've heard her say we need to get rid of him.

Why aren't you neutered? Then it might not be a problem...Call FACE SpayNeuter clinic; its only $30.!!!!!

Yeah, I had my surgery at FACE clinic. They are super nice. Now I can go daycare without problems!

Oh, have your mom neuter you, not get rid of you!! FACE will do it cheaply, then your problem will be solved!

Maybe if you take him to a vet, they'll neuter him Friday, and board him for the weekend...problems solved! :)

Thanks for all the comments, but my question was not about having me neutered.
Thank you Savannah for the name of your animal clinic.

I can't be boarded. I'm proud to say that no kennel can hold me and my separation anxiety :-) (mom doesn't think it's so funny though.) So we use a pet sitter. (http://www.indypetservices.com.) They come to your house as many times per day as you want. When we use them they make sure that me, my sister Casey and the cat Laney are well taken care of... We've never had a bad experience. Hope that helps you!

I would suggest getting neutered, this will also help prevent health problems which could be more costly in the future. But there are also pet sitters that will come into the home to watch pets too. Sometimes your vet employees will either do this themselves or know of someome who will. There are also services that specialize in this. May be worth looking in to so you don't have to find a new home. That would be so sad.

You could check out Sleepy Hollow Pet Ranch. While they definitely recommend the pets are spayed and/or neutered, it's not a definite requirement. They are not eastside, but just a little bit south of downtown so they should be pretty accessable. They've been in business for 21 years, a BBB member and a member of Angie's List. Check them out at www.sleepyhollowpetranch.com. Hope that helps!

Pet sitter all the way! Although I do suggest being neutered. I don't notice a difference at all! We use W.A.L.K. pro walkers they pet and house sit. www.walkprowalkers.com they're based out of Noblesville though.
