Looking for a Wife!!!

Redman Ruger on Breeds - Fri, June 29 2007

Hi Ruger Here! Me and my people are looking for a Female Boston Treeier so I can get married and start my own family! Does anyone out there have a female needing a home? She has to be good with kids! And we would prefer her to be registered. A puppy will do too! I can wait for her to grow up!
Thanks for your help,
Ru-Ru

We don't know any, but I wanted to say Ruger you sure are handsome! I didn't know Boston Terriers could be red/white! I've always just seen the black/white ones.

Ruger, you're a cutie but I really do hope you'll reconsider the girlfriend situation. The reason for breeding is to better the breed & unless you've had genetic testing & same goes for your girlfriend, you could possibly be passing on genetic problems. Also, are the buyers of your babies responsible people? Lots to think about.

Thanks for the concern Nadji! But I don't have any Genetic Defects or health issues! My vet (YUCK!) says I'm good to go! They have also had thier Stud Horse checked out...no defects there eithor!! We are ready to better our breeds!
Thanks,
Ru-Ru

Beverly,
Thanks for calling me handsome! Most people think I'm one ugly dog! But I do know Bostons come in red and white, grey and white, black and white, or a brindle stripe, black and white. The red and grey are just hard to find!
Thanks, Ru-Ru

We've learned a lot about Bostons today! We had no idea they came in different colors. I can't believe anyone would think you're ugly. Me and mom think you're adorable!!

Getting married cost money. Ya need to run all the test to make sure your healthy and not caring anything weird. Then your wife could have complications having babies and she can't take care of them and you have to. Male dogs can't nurse babies! gesh! There's just way too much trouble with girls. That's why I'm gonna stay away from them. At least the ones here, they don't call them you know what for nothing.....Dude, they are just not worth it.

Hi Ru-Ru. Actually according to akc only black and white, brindle and white and seal and white are accepted, seal and white are supposed to appear black, but have a red cast when in the sunshine or bright light. And gray and liver colors are a fault. You need to check out www.akc.org for more information about your breed.

hi there. this site is for fun, networking, and meeting other pet owners, not for free advertising for folks wanting to breed their dogs. if you want to advertise your dog for stud, please do so on indystar.com, where they have an entire classified section for this purpose. i might add, that if you really were interested in bettering your breed, as you say, you would know better than to breed any dog with a color that is a "fault" on your breed. i also wanted to add some info, if you are truly interested, so you can research the breed, and what health testing you should be doing, IF you still insist on breeding him. here's some info: http://www.bostonterrierclubofamerica.org/health/notebook.html

the reason your color is "hard to find" is because responsible breeders who do want to better their breed, would never breed a dog with a fault, just because it makes it "unique". your dog is very cute, but why breed him just because of that? there are so many cute dogs out there already in need of homes. just a thought.

Oh my gosh you guys! I thought this site WAS for fun! That is why I joined!! I was NOT trying to promote my dog for stud or anything!Oh, and he IS registered by the way!!! I was trying to find another puppy! We had an accident last week and lost our Pit bull, Lab mix...a "MUTT" that we adopted. My four year old son is very upset about it!! I was only looking for another Boston Terrier! We really love Ruger and I thought it would be cute for him to be looking for a wife! I am sorry if I offended you! And I'm also sorry I joined now!! You people or "DOGS" are taking this way to far! I was just trying to have fun! While I was watching the adds!

Oh and by the way, while your out there throwing "Faults", did you see my Filly?? Oh, sorry that is a baby female horse, I have her picture up also. She is "Liver and White" do you want to call her a fault too because of her color? You want to go ahead and put her down while your at it??

I THOUGHT THIS WAS AMERICA!!

No need to get mad. People are just concerned because there are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many dogs and puppies at animal shelters that get put down every year, month, day, etc. I'm sorry about your loss, but if you just want another dog then go check out the animal shelters instead of breeding him. They have LOTS of cute ones that I'm sure your son would fall in love with :) Good Luck.

hey ruger, i am sorry if i misunderstood, but here is what you said:

Thanks for the concern Nadji! But I don't have any Genetic Defects or health issues! My vet (YUCK!) says I'm good to go! They have also had thier Stud Horse checked out...no defects there eithor!! We are ready to better our breeds! Thanks, Ru-Ru

to me, you are saying you've been checked out to breed (did anyone else get that too????) and you are ready to "BETTER YOUR BREED". so unless you were planning on breeding, what the heck did you mean???????????

Redman Ruger on Jul 02 at 01:38 PM

When I first got Ruger, we had all the testing done, for that just in case! I had never really thought about breeding him, and havn't. But he checks out good if I decide to. I was only looking for a puppy! I thought maybe someone on here might know someone needing to get rid of one, that didn't want to go threw the trouble of placing and paying for an add! You all start bighting my head off like I'm trying to start a puppy mill! AND I AM NOT!!! I joined to have fun not be put down! Or to be bad mouthed! You people don't know me...I have adopted my share out of shelters, I have adopted strays that people have dumped out in the street! I have found homes for two litters of strays in the past three months! I have also rescued two horses in the past year! Any of you thought about doing that???? I am very responsible for my animals and my family! I think it IS still a free country and if I decide to breed my dog and have a litter of puppies...I can!

Jersey Joe on Jul 02 at 01:49 PM

well, ruger, i do apologise if i offended you. yes, it's a free country, anyone can breed their dogs, but your post did sound like you were looking to stud out your dog. we have had umpteen people advertising on this site for breeding their dogs lately, saying things like they were looking for a girlfriend or wife for their dog, and so when you did answer in the way you did, i took it that you were looking for a dog to breed your dog with.when i mentioned the word "fault", this is what the AKC calls things that are not accepted in breeds, or things that should not be bred for. i meant nothing personal. anyhow, best of luck with whatever you do..........

Your Apology is Accepted! I am new to this. I was just answering. And to the comment, He has been all checked out, and good to go! I guess it all came out wrong! I didn't know people were doing that on here! I'm sorry if it came across that you all thought I was trying to advertise him! Because that was not my intention! First day on here and I start off on the wrong "PAW"!! Not what I had in mind! I hope this is all cleared up now and we can all be friends!!!!!

Ruger...we are boys, but we don't think you'll have a problem finding a girlfriend--you are cute if we are allowed to say that!
And...we understand about the whole 'breeding' thing....we have papers & were bought, but only because our owners used to have a weim & that is what they really wanted again...we & our owners strongly believe in adopting & helping homeless dogs...we donate money to the humane society every month..so, maybe we weren't adopted & sometimes feel guilty about all the sad, homeless pets, but we do what we can by supporting the humane society...
good luck in your search for love! :)
