June Parks Board Meeting
Tuesday, June 12th, 2007
Parks Department: Andrew Royer shared information given at the June Board of Works meeting. Additionally, about two-thirds of the 72 plants and trees for the bark park are in place and the parks staff is working on deadwooding trees.
Troyer presented a sample brochure Showalter created for the bark park. Decisions need to be made on several items, including a name for the bark park, fee schedule, and rules and guidelines. Ed Marks told the board they would be getting together to discuss these issues. One requirement, though, is dogs will have to be registered with the city as a prerequisite to using the facility. Installation of the fence for the bark park should begin in about three weeks.
