A snake!!!

My neighbor just came over and showed us a picture she took of a snake up against their garage! She told Kirby and me to be careful if we come across it in the back yard. It was about 14" long and was brown with black stripes. Is it poisonous? I was barking at something on the ground under the trees on the neihgbors' side of the fence....maybe it was the snake! Should my mom worry about us being outside?

Don't worry, Sugar my love... my neighbor thinks it's a rat snake, they're harmeless. Truthfully, I'd be afraid of it if I saw it. I'd run up to the house and alert mom and dad of an intruder. Luv you too, Sugar! XXXOOOO

Oh Hoovie you sound so brave! I am impressed!! Did I tell you what I found the other day?? A brown recluse spider! My mommy flipped out when she realized what I was sniffing at in the living room- and by the time she gathered her wits about her, that stupid spider had crawled under the couch! So mommy spent the better part of the morning tearing up the living room to hunt that spider down- and she finally got it! *whew*
