My mommy got me a harness - it is sort of a figure eight type thing and one end loops around my neck and the then forms another loop around my middle. We haven't use it in awhile, but I didn't mind it too much. Mommy thinks she got it at petsmart.

Get an actual harness, not a leash/collar! They can be gotten at PetSmart in all sorts of nifty colors. Not all kitties like to go out on a leash though, Alvin and I do, we think we're pretty tough stuff. However, our siblings do not, they prefer the indoors.

Boomer, I thing you and must be brothers. I've ALWAYS wanted mom to get one of those things, too! Dad thinks it would be a waste of money and we kitties would never use it, but we'll never know till we try, right?

I love putting my leash on because it means I can go outside on the deck...but watch out because now I like to dash out whenever the doors open!

I got mine at a pet boutique which had all sorts of nifty ones with matching designs. As long as you have a lightweight leash and a harness designed for cats, you should be good to go. I know the Humane Society of Indianapolis sells Lupine, the brand I have, and I know some of the For the Love of Dogs bakeries have it, too. And they can always order them if what you want isn't in stock.
