I explored the garage

Cookie on Behavior - Fri, January 02 2009

Yep, my family was putting all of the Christmas decorations back up in the attic and they left the door open that goes to the garage. I've always wondered what was in there but never ventured, until today. Mom said, "you can come out", so I did. The floor is COLD and HARD, which I definitely did not like. THEN I couldn't find the door to get back in the house!! I meowed SOO loudly that dad heard me up in the attic and sissy heard me from int he house!! I started to freak out at this point, cold paws, can't find my way in, and I'm freezing. Mama felt sorry for me so she picked me up and took me back in the house. She said I was shaking.

I don't know how those outdoor cats survive. I have NO desire to be anywhere other than my HOUSE, thank you very much. My little paws are meant for soft, warm carpet.

Oreo and Pearlie looked into the garage but they didn't go out. Of course the dumb puppy did. She was all over the place.

Once I got in I ran upstairs because I was afraid of that garage. Beware, kitties....stay in the house.

Cookie was soo funny when he was out there. It's like it never occurred to him to go back into the house. He just crept around and meowed. My sweet boy.

I'm no cat, but I ventured out to the garage once. Grandpa was puttin' a bag of trash in the bin and I snuck out there. He didn't realize I was out there until Mom couldn't find me for about half an hour. I was there, sitting at the door, just waiting for it to magically open! It was sorta chilly out there, too.

Garages are fun! Lots of nooks and crannies to explore, I can get into all sorts of mischief out there.... heh heh heh.

I got locked out there once because I was too busy sniffin by the garbage cans to realize Mom went back in the house. They didn't know where I was until they heard my squeak - LOUD and CLEAR from behind the door. I learned my lesson - light goes off, RUN to the door!

That's what mom expected me to do but I sure surprised her! No exploring for me.

I got locked out in there, too. Mama said that I need to bark to let her know I'm out there.

Mama had another yorkie before me that got locked in the laundry room. She was panicky...all lookin' everywhere....callin' his name. That dufus never muttered a single sound. My poor mama was beside herself. She said that would never happen with me. DUHHH!
