Don't feel so bad Mookie. The people at the vet's office (both of them) always tell mom "he's finished" or "he was a good boy". I don't know how many times mom has told them that I'm a girl. I mean look at me. I'm beautiful - everyone that knows me tells me so. I think its my name. Mom apparently gave me a boy's name.

I also get mistaken for a boy, even at the Vet! Mom's also been told that I look like a boy...whatever that means. I think I'm dainty...46 lbs, nice nails, clean ears, whatever! Is it because we're "thicker" than some other types of dogs? Wonder if male Golden Retrievers or other long hair dogs get a female confusion complex?

I don't think you look like a boy. I always get mistaken for a girl. They always say I'm a pretty girl, or I'm a good girl. One time at the vets when I was getting a test done, the vets said she was good. My owner told them I was a boy but I was still called a girl.

Me Too!!!! I think its becuase my Dad named me Reno. I could see how that is a boys name but he was going with a theme. Ya know mybrother Vegas and me Reno. I don't know how Mom let this happen. But I wear a pink collar...if I was a boy I wouldn't do that. Oh Well I know I am a girl.

yep, we get mistaken for girls all the time because we're "so pretty". Whatever! We're manly dogs not girly dogs. can't you see the BLUE collars and leashes. Just because I've got long hair doesn't make me a girl. Mom says she heard someone say all black animals are boys and all white ones are girls-sure. then how do you get more black or white animals?

My Mommy thinks that people often associate little dogs and girls and bigger ones as boys. They are so silly, if that was the case how would they have babies? Some peopel don't htink things through...haha!
