Last night I wanted to take a break, so I decided to play with Boomer. I tried the mousies, no luck. I tried string, still no luck. I tried cat tunnel and balls, still no darn luck. Then I decided to try something new and boy did it pay off! I know it's wrong for parents to torture their children, but last night was too priceless. In short, I have this long blue feather duster.I moved it along the wall and Boomer caught immediate interest. Then, pretending it was alive, I moved it slowly toward Boomer. Once it was about five inches from him, Boomer was thrown in a panic. He puffed up, hissed and ran off. I had to laugh, but I figured I wouldn't scare him any more. I threw the duster on the floor and minutes later I see Boomer sneaking along the edges of the wall. Then, from the long side of the couch I see this flash of black fur just wamping, wrestling, killing something big, fluffy and blue. Being as Boomer had new found courage, I decided to bring life back into the duster...and yes, once again Boomer puffs up and runs. Back on the floor goes the duster and again, minutes later Boomer is taking out his frustrations on the duster. So, for about thirty minutes I kept going from scarring Boomer, into making Boomer a macho cat. It reminded me of Christmas Story. Everyone knows the scene where Fergus (the bully) looks at Ralphie the wrong way and Ralphie runs like a mad man. But, once Fergus diverted his glance on that one cold day Ralphie knocks him down, hitting, fighting, saying curse words. Boomer kept going from chicken to bully and it was hilarious. Wish I had a camera for Youtube...too funny.
