Blessing your pets...

Tabitha on Activities - Mon, October 06 2008

This was so cool and my mom and I were really excited to do it. At my mom's church, they offered a service yesterday afternoon where you could bring your pets to the parking lot shortly after services let out, and the Father would bless your dog or cat!

I know not everyone is into that sort of thing, but we really enjoyed it. And even though "all dogs go to heaven," this was a nice reassurance. Good times!

Yes...it's nice when that
happens. I have never been blessed that way before but mom told me that she is blessed to have me.

I ask God to bless and protect my furkids all the time.

Mom too but she always puts in an extra blessing for me. She said if she only had one wish come true....

The Feast of St. Francis, the great lover of animals, was Oct. 4th and Daddy took me to our Church for a blessing Sat. afternoon. There were about 30 dogs and TWO CHICKENS. I went last year, too and I can tell you those chickens were a first. I am sure the good Lord loves us all.

I've been to St Michael's in Noblesville for a blessing. There was even a snake there once and a very brave priest. I haven't seen a notice of one lately. I'm sure my Brumley-boy would enjoy it.

My dad brought me to his church, Trinity Episcopal, and we were allowed to go inside and listen to music and pray. He was nervous I would bark or hike my leg, but I was good... until we got outside for the blessing. I saw a choir singer in red robes and thought it was a fire hydrant, so I hiked my leg on him! They blessed me anyway!

That is so funny!
