These two dogs are going to be taken into Wags and will be looking for their new homes soon. They are being pulled from Rushville(very high kill shelter)thanks to the kindness of Jamie and Tiffany who are arranging it. Both are older adults dog who were owner surrendered and those are usually the first that are killed when space is needed(in most shelters anyway).
First is Buster/Baxter that Tiffany is currently fostering. He has severe allergies and looks more like a Chinese Crested right now due to hair loss. He will be going to the vet soon for more of a diagnosis and treatment plan. He will need an owner that is willing and financially able to take care of his allergies(special diet, vet visits, etc) Here is his Petfinder profile(he'll be changing names when he's listed with Wags) http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=11818864
He is listed as a Cockapoo but Tiffany thinks he's more of a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix. He loves everybody and everything and is a snuggle bug. You can PM Tiffany for more info on him.
Next is Missy who is a Dachshund. Her owners said they weren't allowed to have pets where they lived but they'd been living there for some time. Here is her Petfinder profile http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=12001784
She too will be heading to the vet once she gets in town. Currently she is a little scared and shy while she's living in the cat room of the shelter but I'm sure will be fine with some love and training. I'll let you guess who her foster mom is going to be☺ If you know of anyone looking for nice small older dogs, please direct them to these guys. I'm not sure when they'll be posted on our website but probably by the end of the weekend. Thanks for spreading the word and opting to adopt!
PS We'll be at the Fishers Petco this Saturday from 10-2. The newbies won't be there but we've got some great animals including Dreya's cats that are still looking for homes.
