Here's your answer to that, taken from their website:
Can You Bring Your Dog?
Only pets that are entered in Contests can enter the Expo. Contestants must be entered in advance of the Expo, not on site. Only pets that are spayed or neutered adults on a leash no longer than six feet (no retractable leashes) may participate. No puppies.
Each participant must complete a Release Agreement.
Save yourself some time by filling out the Release Agreement in Advance! (coming soon!)
The site doesn't have much up yet. I did subscribe to their newsletter but everything else is "Coming soon"
I was the organizer/planner on the Louisville Pet Lover's Expo that was last weekend. It was a blast! I'm not the organizer of the Indy Pet Expo, though - it is a separate organization that is planning it. But I am in touch with her and trying to help in any way I can to make sure Indy's is a success, too!
I will post some pics from the Louisville Pet Lover's Expo soon! I can't wiat till you all see some of the dogs and even a goat that was decked out in diapers, frilly dresses and painted nails! So sweet!
Also - I am VERY excited to announce that we had more than 50 adoptions from the local shelters/rescues that participated, and that doesn't count the nnumber of people who put in applications.
This was my first big pet event - and was really, really awarding. Not monetarily (I may be paying my bills with puppy chow! ha ha) - but in that it truly provided awareness about shelters/rescues, and people enjoyed being around fellow pet lovers!
I am going to talk to Indy's organizer this week to see what I can do to help!
well I know of two doggy events coming up - one in the Spring downtown in a historic neighborhood that my friend is organizing and Dog Day July 2009 and we would love to have you, Joe!!I really wanted a search and rescue(they fascinate me ) so come on down!Kitties are tougher,Rasberry . We had some heated discussion 'case we have some real cat lovers in the art and design district(myself included) but we were afraid to mix with the dogs in such close quarters. We did ask that any shelter that had cats as well as dogs also bring lots of pics and I was able to get donation goodies for their kitties, too. So If Cat Haven would be interested in coming and talking about their great cats, you are more than welcome.
If anyone needs help planning a fundraiser for furry kids (shelters, rescues, etc), I am more than happy to help in whatever way I can! I created my business, Blue Ink LLC, with the mission to create events that raise awareness and funds for nonprofits. Of course, pets and kids are my two biggest missions! :)
