HS Legislative Fund pick

Mama Muttblood^..^ on Activities - Wed, September 24 2008

The Humane Society Legislative Fund board, comprised of both Republicans and Democrats, has unanimously endorsed Barack Obama for president "as the better choice on animal protection." While they have endorsed many candidates at local levels, they have never before endorsed a candidate for president. You can read the whole story at

Uh, I'm not sure this is part of the HSUS. This appears to be something completely different . . . the Humane Society Legislative Fund. Their website states that "The HSLF is a separate lobbying affiliate of The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), which seeks to pass humane laws." Not sure what that means. I find this odd, however, because McCain's household consists of many dogs, cats, and other animals where Obama doesn't have a pet.

Thanks for the clarification, as I did not see that. I will edit the title of this post. However, the information seems to be based not on the number of pets in the household, but the different candidates' voting records and support of various animal legislation.
