I agree completely with you. Possibly they could feature the newbies one week, and then the regulars the next week? Or, even better, feature both at the same time----give IP the whole page! And, maybe, every once in a while, do an IP special section with multiple pages (probably in a Sunday paper), that could include pics, topics of conversation, & interviews. How 'bout that peoples?
My mom hates the new format of that section. She complains about it all the time. She used to have fun seeing who was featured in the paper and looking for Bev and Minnie. She really likes Jersey Joe and Ernest T too. She saw them in the paper and started looking for them after that. It gave the paper a more personal feel for the people who knew IP dogs.
I agree with you about the paper. I call it the adoption page now. I know the adoptable dogs need to be listed but that seems to be main part besides the new ones.
I enjoyed reading the hot topic of the week.
I would like to see more of the events listed as well.
Had it not been for IP's here I wouldn't have known about the farm expo. I would like to see more, more, more....
Yes, I agree about the expo- and I'm so glad I got to meet you! Charlie was one worn-out little guy on the way home...
Yeah, you know the other sites even have their own magazines. We're the step child that's for sure. We don't get prizes like they do either which really beefs me. I think the IP page in the Star looks like they're directing people here if they want to buy/sell pets and that's wrong as well. Nobody loves us-nobody cares........
might has well go eat worms...
Is anyone from the site reading our comments????? We used to get regular feedback if there was an issue that several people brought up, and I think this would be a good one to start with. That and the fact that the site is working like CRAP at least 50% of the time. HELLOOOOOO...SITE PEOPLE???? ARE YOU IN TOUCH WITH YOUR CONSTITUENTS?????
I think Amanda is one of the site people (you can't call them managers anymore, right?). I'm not sure how often she gets on here or monitors since she's in vet school. I agree that the site does not run well. I get tired trying to post and repost without success.
I got an email from Amanda the other day saying she wasn't having the 500 messages but she was forwarding it on the tech guys. That's the only feedback I've gotten recently. If nobody from Indy Star works on it, how's it going to get better? We're adrift on the sea,
just you and me and
everyone else from IP. Ok, I'm done singing.
We all live in a yellow submarine. It's yellow from having been p!ssed on from above.
