Mom had plans to go but Daddy changed those plans (funny how that happens...). It's sorta ok with me because I still got to go shopping today. I even went to the lumber store with Mom and got extra attention.
Glad you had a fun day at the farm fest, Lola. Hopefully I'll get to meet you someday. I love little dogs. Tell your sis to come to the Poodle fest next weekend. My kid is coming too!
My paws are totally crossed for you girls to be butt cootie free! It's been so long... I hope your mom doesn't have them. Maybe she should send hers in too.
The Dog Cookie guy is AWESOME!! He gave me and Minnie horseshoe cookies too! Mom bought us some other cookies he made, and we each got one when she got home. They were so yummy!!
I know Mom visited the petting zoo because when she came home she smelled like goats, pigs, cows, even a rabbit! I heard her say she wanted to put a baby pig they had in her purse and bring him home! Thank goodness she didn't!! There are enough animals here!
Mom said lola looked just liked her human sister, they were both so cute. She said she & Mama Kay had a great time. And Joe did a great job finding your sis. She also talk with Mama M & Stacey and your mom was so nice to come over and say hi. She said next event we can go. She also got us girls a Sassy Scrunchies and we love them, She also got a pet first aid kit to get in the car for us. She enjoyed all the demo's and nice people and hopes they do it again next year.
Now Winston stop that! you know you are jealous cause you didn't get a scrunchie.
And mama did bring Dairy Queen home for us, so stopp being a cry baby. You can wear my girlie scrunchie if you want to..lol
Mom even seen my old foster fam, Rick & Mary Jo at the event, they were emcee's for Indy dog and disc, she said that was a great show and really funny when one dog decided he needed 30 seconds to pee, but everyone clapped for his great performance, lol
Hey there it was nice meeting all our indypaws friends! Casey and I had a good time. Didn't make a lot of money. But got to meet some neat dogs from the rescues that where there. The bloodhounds and the work they do is awesome. I have a special place in my heart for all the working dogs. I always load them up with freebies. The frisbee dogs where neat, but wow just to much energy and noise for the old dog cookie guy here. I swear they got a frisbee addiction, Frisbee junkies they are. Well got to go make the doughnuts/doggie cookies for Pendleton festival next weekend.
WOAH! You got Dairy Queen?!? It was nice meeting Mama Kay, too. Names are not my forte. I'll remember next time!!
I had a great time!!! I got some fries from Bev & Minnie's mom Stacy (YUM) and I got to say hi to Lola and her humans and I got to see Maddie & Sydney's mom PLUS I met Batman!! *whew* no wonder I was quiet as a mouse on the ride home. Mom says that I was pretty noisy on the way there, so she was glad that her ears got a rest on the way home. *yawn* time for another nap-
see ya'll later!
Whew, I'm still tired. Mom got us up at 4 a.m. yesterday. I was SO excited because I knew we were going to do something. I've never met so many people in my life. Lots of people and their dogs stopped by to say hello.
I got SO many treats. Mama M gave me treats, Stacy gave me treats, everyone who came by gave me treats.
I personally think those Frisbee dogs are showoffs. Mom and everyone else was just swooning over them. Clapping and acting all silly just because those dogs can jump and catch a flying disk!
Humpf. I got left behind mom's tent in an X-pen.
However, we did score big in treats for the Cookie Guy. I HIGHLY recommend them. Please make your parents go buy cookies from him. They are TASTEY.
Also, the cookie man says he son owns a dog that looks JUST LIKE me. He said we are identical. We might be the same age too. Mom says I might have a sister! Wouldn't that be cool? Mom always wonders about what my dog family was like and if I have any family left in the world.
THANK YOU THANK YOU to Mama M who became my friend at the Farm show. She got me out and took me on some walks. She says I was a GOOD dog. I was nice and gave licks and no growls. My tail did not tuck down my leg. I was a HAPPY dog. My FM almost cried. She said this was the happiest she has ever seen me around lots of people.
Then I got to meet Stacy and she says I am BEAUTIFUL! So, I gave her kisses too and she gave me fries from the Cookie Guy. (OK, she snuck some real fries to me and the Bat too).
I got to see some cows. Boy, they were big and they smelled really interesting.
I was sure tired when I got home last night. This was a big day for me. FM says now that I'm so much better in crowds we can start going more places. Yeah for me.
I also sniffed butts with a bulldog and nothing happened. I didn't get snarky and he didn't get snarky. I am a GOOD dog!
You were a VERY good girl, Lexie! Your FM said that a couple of months ago your hackles would have been raised and you wouldn't have let anyone but her come near you, so you have come a LONG way! Thank you for spending time with me at the Farm Expo. I always get a little sad that I have to work and don't have at least one of my girls with me.
Mom said she is strongly considering letting me do Disc Dog stuff. She watched that little brown micro dog and knew that I could be even better. She even brought me home a regulation micro dog frisbee to work with. Woo Hoo! AND I got a beautiful new handmade collar from the Cookie Guy's wife. Here's what Sydney got...bupkis.
I did not get any bupkis, Maddie. I don't even know what it is. I DID get some awesome treats that the English Bulldog rescue chicks made. They are DELISH!
Maddie, you'd be great at catching frisbees!!
waving paw! Hey everyone!!! Me and Mom had a blast there!!! I got to meet sooo many people, and I saw Amy, Stacy, of course, Connie, Batman and Lexie! Mom bought me a neato toy from the cool peeps at Canines in Action, Mom said if she ever gets time, she would like to take me there for a clicker class, just for fun. I would LOVE that!!
Oh, and lets not forget....LOLA.....she is soooooo beautiful!! Her fur is so soft and silky, I could rub my big ol face on her forever!!! She is so sweet, and was very tolerant of my "pushy" self, haha. I had so much fun going to find her sister, too!!! Of course, as I came around the crowd, there was this cute little terrier in a PINK SKIRT, and I could not resist! I wanted to find my "person", but I also wanted to get another new girlfriend, haha! Anyhow, it was so fun!
I did not get to see the Dog Cookie Guy, Mom was so busy, she didn't have time to do much except talk to folks who came to our booth. I did get to see the cows, though! That was interesting! Since they stood still, I did not freak out barking at them, like I do with horses, LOL, so I did not embarrass Mom in front of all the cowboys and cowgirls! She was so glad!
Mom is going to try to get here more often than she has lately. She has been really busy, helping plan her 20 year class reunion (Warren Central Class of 88!!!) and working on that website, as well as the one for our search group. We have a big seminar coming up, with lots of folks coming from out of town, to train their SAR dogs, so she's been really busy with that, as well. She says there's too many things to do, not enough time in the day, LOL! Anyhow, thanks Connie, for inviting Indy Mantrailing K9 SAR to come to your event, it was great fun! We'd love to come back if they do it again!! :)
Joe, you were awesome. Kelly, I loved his fur. He was SO soft.
