Dad liked his Father's Day gift!

Zeek on My Blog - Sun, June 17 2007

Dad called from North Carolina this morning to say thanks. I sent him "The Jack Russell Handbook." He told Mom that his mom had brought it in to him this morning (he's staying with his parents since his mom has been sick to help out the old folks, they're in their late 70's and not so the picture of good health these days) and told him that Mom had called her and told her not to let him have it til today. He said she like it, too, and she told him, "You shouldn't be so mean to that little dog, he's just a dog." We said, "Right ON, Dot!" Mom told him that she wanted to send him Jack Russells for Dummies, but that I told her no. I said that Daddy might not like that and he wasn't a dummie. He liked his card, too (top 10 ways we were alike). Did your dads out there like their gifts?

yep, we got dad a shirt from a group on Ebay that does doxie rescue. It has two doxies on it and it says "Wiener dad". It's so cute and one dog is wearing a tie with bones and the other one is wearing a baseball cap with bones on it. We got grandpa a shirt at Walmart that says "Best Grandpa hands down" but we put our paw prints on it. It was cool and came with the paint. You just have to be real careful to wash your paws real good afterwards. We're going to see grandpa soon!
