Sorry you had such a bad experience. Customer service is so important to the customers and many times not so much to the employees. It is my main priority at work and the ladies that work for me know it. We buy Canidae at Wipe Your Pawz at 56 and Lafayette rd. It's right off 465 if that's close to you. I think Ted's feed store in Beech Grove also has it.
I'm fortunate to live down the road from the Broad Ripple store. You're right about them. They are so helpful and wonderful! I spend a fortune in that store, especially since I started fostering.
It's ironic you mention this because just yesterday in my Public Speaking class, we did a chapter on listening. It said researchers estimate U.S. businesses lose billions of dollars each year due to ineffective listening. I thought that was crazy, but it looks like you have the perfect example right here! I'm not very familiar with the south side, so I'm no help in finding his food. Good luck though!
I can't blame you at all for being unhappy. I would be myself. However, one experience would not keep me from going to a store that sells most of what I can give my two allergic dogs at reasonable prices. Now, if I had to make a special order again, I'd definately ask for a different person to write down the order!
I kept my cousin Brooke's little girls lastnight. They live near Sppedway so after I drop them off I'm going to wonder over to the Avon Speck's. Marci, your right usually their selection and prices are great but unfortunately it wasn't the first time that PSP had let me down. Thanks for all the help guys :)
It's Speck's to the rescue! The drive to Speck's on 36 is about the same to the PSP on Emerson. The only reason I hadn't ever been to Speck's was because of the construction mess going on at 465 and 36. That Speck's earned extra points with me because they stock both the Chicken and Lamb Canidae. When my Hoghead is happy I'm happy.
I shop at the PSP in Noblesville, and I'm from South Bend, where several high school friends worked at a PSP location - they're franchises, so a lot depends on the local owner. Even with as small as the Noblesville store is, it's a huge step up for service from the Pet Smart across the street!
I know dog.com has some canidae foods, as does foster and smith, but I don't know which one. My dog east ALS and seems to love it (we switch between that and the Nutro Lamb and Rice for large breeds.)
