I like socks. I REALLY like socks. I like the fact that they come all bundled up. I like opening them up and separating them.
When Mom gets ready to take us for a walk or to the park, we go up and get socks. She hands them to me and I run all the way downstairs as fast as I can. Sometimes I'm so fast that I make it all the way downstairs and up again before Mommy gets there!
We go to the shoe closet. She gets her special dog shoes. She asks me for the socks. I bring them to her. She says she likes her socks slightly damp (good thing). She puts them on, and her shoes, and we go have fun!
Dad's socks are different. He lets me pick out his leaving for the day socks. I make sure that they are damp, too. He puts them on and leaves for the day. He comes home and those socks come off. I like it better when he doesn't have those socks on, but it feels good to make sure he has the right pair.
Socks are good for people. It makes them get up and move.
Besides, they're fun to throw and pounce on!
Socks!
Abby, you are so smart. You are the "sock dog". Even better...your mom and dad are smart for training you to be this way. Dogs are just great to have around.
Awesome! I wonder if my mom's going to train me to help with the socks. So far, I've discovered I can stick my head into this big laundry basket in the closet and pick out socks to chew on. I also like to carry dirty socks around the house. Great fun!
