Baths

Sheila on Grooming - Mon, September 01 2008

Mom was supposed to give us baths on Saturday. She got busy running errands, and didn't. Then, we were on tap for yesterday. Again, didn't happen. Something about our car getting hit or something. I though we were out of the woods, 'cause today is Monday, and mom goes to work on Mondays. Not today. We had breakfast, got to go outside several times, then WHAM, into the bathtub. Here its supposed to be my day to catch up from the weekend and get my beauty sleep, and this happens. Sheesh!

Sheila, our mom even staged a car wreck to prevent you guys from getting the dreaded bath. Sorry it didn't work out for you, but I'm sure glad you were not in her car. It made a BIG bang!

I've also heard that B word around here today. Ya know, I was rarely bathed before the Tilly Monster moved in. now I'm always being wiped down hosed down and rubbed down. ...something about smelling like mouth??...

I have to have a bath today because Curl the St. Bernard monster puppy slobbered me down pretty good yesterday. I was sticky when she left. Mom did a wipe-down yesterday. It's a full-on (outside) bath today. I guess it'll be ok. I can pretend it's just pool time. I have my own blue wading pool outside still.

I hope the bang didn't scare you too much. Mom said it was really loud. I thought I smelled you and Maddie on mom's clothes yesterday. Mom says to be careful when you're on your walks. John picked up most of the pieces, but she's afraid there may still be some glass lying about.

Sydney, I'm 100% certain that your mom did not STAGE that accident. You're mom is a VERY nice lady who would never do such a thing. I also hope you girls weren't too freaked out by the whole affair.

here's a tip - get snarky. That get's you out of quite a few baths. Ojo and I used to have our baths together and run around in our robes. Not any more! With me being a snarker, it's harder for Mom do to the baths & after-run-arounds which translates to LESS baths for us!

I still get WAy too many car washes though.
