Jax is missing!

I was talking to my sister and she told me Jax had escaped from their yard. She had been cutting grass and knocked a small piece of the fence loose at the bottom. Before her hubby could fix it, Jax found it and was gone. She lives in Beech Grove right by 9th street. He's a very distinctive looking dog so he would be hard to miss if someone has him. I'm putting out an APB in the hopes we can find him. He is chipped but was not wearing tags(they had come off and hadn't been put back on). Please contact me if you have any info or if your neighbors have recently acquired a dog that looks like him. My little nephew is convinced that the chip is going to bring him home. I don't have the heart to tell him that someone actually has to make an effort and take him to a vet to be scanned.
