Soooo wrong.....

Debbie on My Blog - Thu, August 28 2008

This is a little gross, so if you're eating you might want to stop..

I always carry doggie poop bags, the kind that come in rolls and fit in a little fire hydrant dispenser. This is hooked on Kirby's leash which is fine when Kirby is with us...

Well, I took Kirby and Lola out for a walkie this morning and then I took Hoover and Lola out around noon. The second walk I just carried a Marsh bag to pick up with. I used this same bag for 3 seperate poops but the third time, there wasn't much bag left to pick it up with and of course, it was Hoover's. As I was scooping it in the bag, I felt my pinky finger scrape the ground. I though, O God, please let it be clean. It WASN'T! I got poop under my pinky nail and around the cuticle!!!!!!! **gag** Luckily I was almost home since I about cry. I mean it was jammed in there.

I washed my hands and finger nails about 20 times when we got in. I didn't even take their leashes off first.

What we don't do for the love of our dogs..... **rolling eyes**

Ma said she would rather get it on her toes than on her fingers any day! Did Hoovie laugh at you? I probably would've laughed at ma. Teehe!

Mom does that too once in awhile. When she walks all 3 beagles she carries 3 bags. There were times when I would poop more than once and if she wasn't careful, she would get poop on her finges just like you. Now dad always checks for holes in the bag to prevent this....mom doesn't
check. Dad doesn't call her "sticky" fingers. He calls her "stinky" fingers.

You had mama laughing so hard she was wiping tears from her eyes....she says it's from relating to your experience. She was at the grocery store the other day and the woman in front of her asked for some more plastic bags because of her dogs....she said it was gross but a fact of life at her house....and she said she wanted the ones without holes...hahahaha. Mama laughed and told her she could relate...the cashier looked at them like they had 3 heads each. Some people just don't "get it"!

Sorry, I had to giggle!! :)
When I was younger, I was at a friend's house. She had a puppy. We weren't paying attention, and I had no idea the puppy had pooped a pile right behind me! I was sitting on the floor and put my hand back to lean on. Yeah, you guessed it! My whole hand went right into the pile of poop!!

I don't get it... Mom said it's not nice to laugh at people but after she read your post, she laughed out loud. She said to say she was sorry but that is SO something she would do. There would not be enough soap in the world to remove that feeling today.

*ack* I've done the same thing!!! And I also washed my hands a million times in water so hot that I was close to getting 1st degree burns. From then on, I learned to check for holes in the bags....*blech*

OH, I can beat that! A couple of weeks ago Maddie had some runny poop, which is unusual for her. I bent over to examine it as I picked it up to see if she had blood or worms in her stool. Unfortunately she was not done scraping, and flung some of it on my t-shirt and INTO MY EYE!!!! I had my glasses on, so I don't know how it happened, but I could not get home fast enough. Had to get antibiotics for my eye to prevent any kind of nasty E Coli infection.
