totally grossed out

Kris on Health - Thu, August 28 2008

This morning I was walking the Trio and Penny did something that totally grossed me out and gagged me for the entire walk. She picked up a live cicada, chewed it up a little at a time...all the while, it was chirping inside her.

OMG...it still grosses me out. I think I need to go puke.

That's worse than eating poop, in my order of grossness. I mean, the dogs eating poop. I don't eat poop. Just to clarify.

Ewwwww...yeah, poo doesn't make noise. That's pretty gross.

You humans gotta love us dogs.
Now I don't eat poop or cicadas but for those who do...Rock On!! Well...I'm only kidding...that was gross.

I tried that once. But, every time I opened my mouth and it'd make noise, it'd scare me, so I'd shut it real quick. This went on for about half an hour before I gave up.

You gotta tell her to play with them until they die first. They are very tasty little critters and they won't hurt us to eat them. Mom checked into it when she caught me eating one. My sisters and I fight over them when we are trying to kill them!

My dogs love to eat all kinds of disgusting crap off the ground. How can they sleep at night?

COOL!!!! Now, if I could just find a cicada! Mom has a funny look on her face. I'm not sure why.

Last night, I had a very crunchy cicada. It was dead though so it didn't make noise...darn.

I am obessed with those things!! Every time we come to a lump on the sidewalk, I have to check to see if it's a cicada. I haven't gotten up the nerve to eat one yet, they latch onto my lips and I freak out. One wouldn't let go and I kept shaking my head to get it off!

Now poop, I will eat. It doesn't bite back...

Olivia got a dead field mouse the other day. It was nasty.

I hope your itchies are better today, Kris! That's not fun. The last time I had it my eyes were swollen shut. It also found its way down to my "area". Not good.

I was not happy when Batman brought in the hindleg of a rabbit last week. This is his second rabbit. But, at least it wasn't making noise.

At the feral cat care day this past Sunday, I cleaned out a cat's ears that were so gross I really did gag. I've seen some nasty ears, but these were awful and they smelled bad. But, I stuck with it and half an hour later, this kitty had really clean looking ears. I'll bet when he woke up he said , "Hey, I can hear.!"

Oh...my. Please Lord, don't let that happen to me! It's still primarily on arms/legs and face. But I am feeling better today. The meds are helping....

I've got a good one for you... last night I watched my cat eat a cricket. You know how cats eat... they pick up a morsel and chew it and pieces fall to the ground and they chew it some more. So she picks up the cricket and chews it and a leg falls out of her mouth, then the head. I'm just watching the cat do this and hearing the crunch, like you, and I can't decide whether to laugh of puke. Then I had to go sweep up what the little princess didn't eat.

(By the way, Dolly's had three thorough toothbrushings in 6 weeks because of the gross things she eats...)
