Wags had a great day at adoptions last Saturday. Two out of the three kittens that Stacy had went to their new homes and the third will follow this week. Chloe the Australian Shepherd mix pup finally got adopted for good this time. Boo got an application put in for her(she's my sister's foster but she hasn't been able to login on here to put a profile up). Dexter the English Setter had an app for him. The cutest little puppy Bailey had 2 apps put in for her. She was the sweetest little thing. A small Terrier mix that someone had dumped off at a low cost shot clinic. She would play for about 20 minutes then crash for about an hour. I carried her around the whole day-she was such a cutie. she did have an URI though so she can't go anywhere for a little while. I almost brought her home to foster but didn't want to expose Scamper to anything right now.
Sweetie did not make the trip because Jerry said she had loose poo(probably lied about it but whatever). However, I had her pictures with me and a woman came in that I had talked to before about her. She seems really nice and they have another Doxie that would be her friend. They live pretty close to us so that's a plus. The woman actually wants to surprise her hubby with her for his birthday(but it will also be her home visit). So after sooooo many months and sooooo much sickness, Sweet Tart will hopefully have her furever home. She will be going after Labor Day on a trial basis. If it works out with them and their other Doxie, they will finalize her adoption at Petco. I know we will miss her but she really deserves to be a little princess somewhere after the crappy start to life that she's had. I promise we will keep close tabs on her because I don't want her to be unhappy or mistreated ever again. Now I wonder how I can get those 1,000 dogs from W Va up here to foster them:-)
