Mom Scared Me

Gracie on Behavior - Mon, August 25 2008

So mom scared me to death yesterday. She was in the kitchen listening to her mp3 player thing. I wanted her to hold me so she picked me up. I heard that noise coming out of her ears, and I went flying out of her arms. She thought that when she listens to it and holds Lee Lee (he puts his ears to it and listens to), that I would be okay too. But nope, I was scared bad. I was jumpy after that and wouldn't let no one touch me, not even mom. She sat in front of me talking to me trying to earn my trust all over again. She now calls me Little Miss Gracie Stubbornness. She thinks I don't like her, but that will take a while. I love her but it is gonna take a while for me to forgive her. She keeps telling me that she is so sorry that she will not do that again. SO last night and today I let her hug and pet on me but that is as close as she is getting to me. Mom doesn't even know how to give me my medicine because she usually leans me against her with me standing on a table. No telling how long it will take me to let someone hold me again since it took so long the first time.

Poor Gracie. I am skiddish too, or what some refer to as a 'scaredy cat.' Some of us just don't like loud noises. But I think you should go ahead and trust your mommy again so you can get good pets and lovin from her!

Maybe it was just the song she was listening to. I bet you like "easy listening" type music...soft like your beautiful fur. I like the tunes from the 70's.
