But ever the optimist (it's only monday, so i'm not completely beaten down yet)... think how good the documentary was for the bully breeds - the dogtown (i think that was the name of the rehab facility) facility showed that the pit bulls could be rehabilitated and were not just monsters, which i think is a lot of people's attitudes.
we were doing laundry/cleaning while watching so it didn't get my 100% focus, but while it was depressing I think overall it was about redemption (for the dogs) and will serve to educate a lot of people.
I agree. I wrote the post when they were showing a lot of the fighting parts. I was really happy to see how it ended. Bless those people for giving those dogs a chance!
It was really hard to watch some of it but they did a really good job with dispelling the stereotype of the Pit Bull. The August issue of Bark magazine has a really good article about the organization "Bad Rap" that took in Vick's dogs.
Our dad is like that, too, Daisy. He says it just makes him so angry that he wants to do something really bad to people like Michael Pr!ck.
I totally agree with you Anne, I am so hoping it will be a positive for the breed. However, it was very hard to watch, a couple times it was all I could do to fight back the tears. Just heartbreaking!
Well, I cry at those Pedigree commercials where they show the shelter dogs, so I clearly wasn't able to contain myself when I watched this... it was good I was folding laundry so I could distract myself. :)
