FIDO Flower Fundraiser

Stacy on Shopping - Thu, August 21 2008

I mentioned this in a post the other day. FIDO is selling Breck's flower bulbs in order to raise money. They get 45% of the sales! I got the catalog and used the scanner at work to scan it. I can email it to anyone who is interested. It's a beautiful catalog, if you like flowers! I just keep staring at it trying to decide what to buy! The bulbs are shipped directly to you. There is a $3.00 shipping charge. I have to have all the money and forms turned in by 9/7, so I would like to try to get everything in my hands by Friday, September 5th. Please PM me with your email address if you are interested, and I will email the catalog to you.

Darn, make me look like a slacker. I just got my catalog today and never even thought about scanning it.

I plan to take mine to work. For 23 years I've bought candles, popcorn, pies, candy bars, etc. from everyone's child. It is payback time for sure.

Those people better be ready to buy some flowers.

Good luck at work! I got an order from my mom for flowers and for a couple candles for the ARPO sale. My boss is nice, but she frowns on selling stuff at work so I haven't decided whether I'm taking the catalogs to work or not. I figure even if I only get a couple orders, it will help. I know I'll order several things for myself. I just have to decide!

Man, I've missed so much in the last couple of weeks! Well, count me in...if I can shop AND help FIDO, well, it's win win, right? Also, heads up, once I get the catalog, I'll be looking for some advice about flowers because my thumb is decidedly NOT green...more like a dry withered brown.

In the pdf Stacy has available they have a little "flower code" or whatever at the bottom of the page. With every bulb they tell you whether it's sun, part shade, shade and a few other things! They have some cool stuff. I like the Windflowers and the Replete Daffodils myself. Beautiful! The allium roseum is nice too.

Mom's birthday is coming up and she loves to garden. Between the candles and the bulbs I'll be spending way too much but it's for a good cause.
