Language of dogs seminar

Connie on Training - Thu, August 21 2008

I just found out about a seminar in Indianapolis on Sept. 20. It is about a topic near and dear to my heart: understanding dog body language and communication.

Below is the info I got. It is $95 if you sign up before Sept. 5 and it is $110 if you sign up after Sept. 5.

Has anyone heard of Sarah? I spent some time on her website and it looks pretty awesome. Here is a link directly to her qualifications.

I'd love to go. Its really not in the budget right now. Charlie's in school (significant treat budget at the moment), and we have a vacation coming up. Keep posting this kind of stuff. I'd love to go to something like this in the future.

Sounds cool but like Marci not in our budget at this time. If you do go Connie please tell us all about it.

Oh, you know me, I'm sure I'll tell everyone way more than they want to know!

Gotta love you for that! I'd always rather have more information than I need than less. It lets me filter out what I find useful to my specific needs.

Not in our budget right now either. Mommy has been spending a great deal of money on me the last 1 1/2 month that I have been sick. Yes, we do want to hear more than we want to know.

Are you going Connie? It sounds like something I would love to go to. I've really become more interested in behavior over the last couple of years and it's just fascinating. I just finished reading "Calming Signals" and it was a good book. Things you see every day but don't really think much about. Let me know if you're going.

I might like to go, if I can swing it. That's the same day as the Camp Rover Romp at the HSI....I would guess we aren't bringing our dogs to Sarah's clinic, right? xoxo D

Heck I will only charge you just 6 CHEESEBURGERS UUMMM , CHEESEBURGERS per person. Here is just a hint , nubby or tails for some others wagging, good doggy. No nubby or tails wagging and teeth bare , bad doggy.

I'm going to call tomorrow and talk to the person hosting it. But, everything I've heard back sounds really interesting. It's something that I know I can use with the fostering also I would like to get into temperment testing, and this woman does a lot of that according to her website. So, I'm planning on going.

I'm just wondering why is $95? I'd like to know what's included, too.

Like everyone else, I'd love to go but WOW 95 bucks. Definitely not in the budget. Keep us posted though, it sounds really interesting!

OK, I signed up. Based on the other dog seminars I've gone to or seen advertised, that's actually not a bad price (although still a lot of money).

I've been to one of her seminars, so I can say that Sarah is a fabulous and very entertaining speaker, and she's also incredibly knowledgeable! I'm sure you'll learn a LOT at her seminar, especially if you're interested in temperament testing, since that's sort of her specialty.

Have fun!! :-)
