Love My ETB

Mama T on Behavior - Wed, August 20 2008

He drives me nuts sometimes. He’s hard headed-sometimes smells a little funky, demanding and barks for no apparent reason, attempts to beat me down the stairs by running under my legs and almost wiping me out, sheds, drools, gassy and he snores but the past two evenings as I am studying, he curls up in a little Basset ball next to me and goes to sleep. He looks so darn sweet just snoozing along and this morning, he was lying up on the pillow next to me sleeping like a baby. No matter how much he gets on my nerves, he’s just the most precious thing in the world to me and I don’t know what I would do without him.

Amen!! I feel the same way about my girls. Minnie is especially challenging at times, but I love them both so much. I have no idea what I would do without my babies!!

Ditto for me. Like yesterday, I was feeling kind of out of sorts & all my girls picked up on it and cuddled with me at various times...even Pauline. I love them all SO much!!!!!

My three ought to be glad they can be cute like that...especially Penny! She's in the hot seat now. She has destroyed every set of blinds I installed in my new house and last night started chewing on the vertical blinds. I was outside talking to my neighbor and she wanted to come out and bark at my neighbor. I wouldn't let her out, so she chewed the vertical blinds. I'll tell you, it's a good thing she can be cute because I'm spending an awful lot of money on her or because of her. She also bit me Monday and I have a lovely black/purple bruise on my leg. It wasn't an intentional bite. She was playing with Deuce who happened to be on my lap....went to bite him and got me instead. Boy did I holler!!!

I have to agree. The best part of my day is the time I spend with my Furbabies. I can't imagine my life without them.

I LOVE sleepy, snuggly dogs! My favorite is when Charlie curls up beside me with his head on my lap, and just sleeps.

I am becoming a little more independent and sleeping at the foot of the bed more often, and Mommy doesn't like it. I have a special place right next to her pillow where she wraps her arm around me when we go to sleep. Sometime I make her wait til after she goes to sleep and then I sneak up there and when she wakes up, I'm there. I'm not really sure that it's good for Mommy, because she never wants to get up when she wakes up and I'm snuggling with her. I think I make her late to work sometimes. :) xoxo FiFi

Between your description of ETB and Kris' description of Penny with the blinds - you guys totally defined PNell! I would be lost without my kids!

That is so sweet. That's how I feel about my dogs. I love them so much. My 3 are all over 10 years old and I've had all since they were puppies. They each have their own unique personality, and I couldn't do without any of them.

Well written, Mama T! There's just something sweet about a sleeping Basset.

Yesterday I laid down on the couch before my daughter came home from school and I had Lola curled up behind my legs and Pearlie on the other side all tight up against me and purring. I fell soundly asleep for an hour!! Our favorite time is evening when we're all in the family room andn the furbabies are sleep and cuddly. We love our furbabies and can't imagine life without them.

Aren't they just the best!!! Peaches and Emma are the 2 really snuggley ones in this household, but I couldn't part with any of them....as a matter of fact, little Rescue actually belongs to my son, who has a house of his own, but is a fireman and works a 24 hour shift, so I'm not parting with him until I know he has someone to be around him....besides KC thinks he's her baby. They all are truly lovable and all for different reasons.

I admit it, the Tilly Monster is very cute and sweet when she's ASLEEP! It's a different story when she starts snoring...

I love my little Zoe too. My favorite time with her is at night when she scratches my back to tell me she wants under the covers. I know it is time to snuggle and go to sleep. She lays right up against me. It can make all the stress in the world melt away. I often look under the covers to see her little face...so content and relaxed!!
