I have been sick for about 1 1/2 months off and on. First it was the kennel cough,then a secondary infection, then seizures and now my thyroid. I have been on seizure medication and have been having no seizures. The test for my thyroid came back very strange. One for the inactive hormones is to be between 1-4 and mine was .59. The one for the active hormones is to be 8-40 and mine was 99. These two contradict each other. The vet sent the results to some specialist. Report came back that this is not possible so a mistake was made somewhere. They advise not to suppliment the thyroid at this time but recheck it in 8 weeks. Since I have been on the seizure meds., I have been falling down the stairs and stumbling alot. The vet told mom to cut back on the med. Since she has, I am back to my ol'self. Feeling spunky. They had me drugged. When the vet does the blood for my thyroid, he is going to have the lab check the clinical level of this med in my blood. If it is below the clinical level, I may be able to stop this med. I hope so because, it is hard on my little liver. So guys, that is where I have been. Just wanted to update everyone. It is wonderful to feel good again.

Glad you're feeling better! All those vet visits can't be fun. I don't like going to the vet! It makes me nervous.
