I'm an official protester!!!

Sweet Tart North on Activities - Sat, August 16 2008

Guess what I did today! Oh never mind, I guess the title gave it away. I went to my very first puppy mill protest today. Cocoa went before when it was cooler but it was too hot for everyone else today. Me, I love the heat and mom took my ice water bottle and kept me sprayed down with it. It was fun but kinda scary. There was a lot of honking and stuff and people waving. Everybody there thought I was a cutie pie. Mom says I should be a poster child for mills. I think I'm going to work that angle to try to stay here. I could be her "show and tell" for these kinds of things. Maybe she could make a big poster of me when I first got here so people could see how awful I looked. But anyway, I was really brave and stood out there(well really I was held most of the time). Mom was VERY DISAPPOINTED in the turnout. We overslept so didn't make it to Uncle Bill's although apparently there was drama that Medley will post about later. We were out at Safari and some of the workers from another store asked us to move down so we didn't block the big sign by the entrance. One of the ladies says that the complaints just shows we're making a difference and raising awareness. I don't know about that, I just know it's tiring to be a protester. Then we stopped by the new PSP in Avon but I was pretty tired. I did meet a very handsome boy Doxie there. He had the most beautifulest shiniest black hair with tan highlights. I really liked him but mom says nice girls don't let strange boys sniff their hoohas so I didn't. His family has him, a Beagle, a Yorkie, and a golden(who was shopping with him). He was nice but big. So I'm off to have a little nap. Dad's been gone forever at Geekfest so we're on our own with mom this weekend. Next protest is Sept 20 which is national Puppy Mill Awareness day. Please, please, please go to these. There were only maybe 10-15 people there today and it makes a greater impact when you have more people. There were actually more signs than people so they didn't all get held up. Some of the ladies were holding a large banner in each hand but mom couldn't because of me. Help Stop Puppy Mills so other dogs aren't treated as I was. Thanks!

Way to GO, Sweetie! Ma and Pa have been slacking on the puppy mill protests lately. They need to get back into the swing of things.

Way to work the staying factor. I don't think I'd be real happy with your mama if she didn't realize what a agreat poster puppy you are for these protests!! Keep workin' it, Sweetie!! BFFs FUREVER!
