Close Call at Chez Beagle

Perl on Boarding - Fri, August 15 2008

We nearly had a dog pack expansion today. The large male biped has always wanted a bluetick coonhound, and today he saw this:

He and the female biped were talking about it, and he darn near drove to Clarksville to get her and would worry about the consequences later. But he didn't, and I'm gratified to hear that he didn't want to introduce a new hound into the pack when Beau or I are injured.

Still, it was close.

That would have been a low blow to intoduce a new pack memeber when you've both got a bum wheel. Maybe when you're both better!

Couldn't you just put the dog in "lay-a-way" until you and Beau are healed? I'm sure the shelter would understand.
Your bipeds are great "hounds" keepers.

We think your dad should have just gone to get Betty. She'd fit in well at your house, I'm thinking. She sounds like the kind of girl who'd like a mojito now and then.

We thought about asking the large male bipeds' parents to do that, but

1) Grandpa would never give it up
2) Grandma would kill Grandpa and the large male biped
