Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch

I got my first HW shot tonight and I haven't been able to relax since. They drew blood which I did NOT like then gave me my shot after shaving some of my pretty white fur off. Now I have a big bald spot on my back. The shot didn't hurt that much going in but oh boy does it hurt since then. They gave mom some steroids for me to take the next week. They said sometimes when the worms are dying(yuck!), they can settle in the joints and make them really painful. Well guess what, I'm really painful where they gave me the shot. Mom's given me the steroid pill, some Pet Eeze and a dose of Metacam but I still can't rest. She's threatening Benadryl for bed time. It just hurts so much that I can't get comfortable. She says if it's still like that in the morning, she's going to call them and have them call in a script or something because I'm really suffering. Mom even let me get on the couch since I can't get comfy but even that didn't work. Anybody know how to make it feel better so I can sleep? Mom says it's going to be a long night but dad's not working tomorrow so he can stay up with me. Good news is that I behaved myself and they all thought I was cute and sweet. And I gained 6 pounds!!! Mom says it's time to cut back on the food since I'm at a good weight now. Oh, I also forgot to mention that I drank a bunch of water before I went so I puked in their waiting room and marked quite a few places. Then when I got home, I puked the water I had just swallowed. I go back in one month to get a shot then another one 24 hours later then I'm done. The car ride is really too long though so I'm not sure what to do about the two shots next time. Maybe mom can get us a hotel room up by there☺
