Dog Park by I-65 and Lafayette Road

Anne on Activities - Wed, August 13 2008

As I was heading back to the City from Lafayette today, I drove past a dog park that was right by I-65 just north of the Lafayette Rd exit. it looked like it had agility equipment etc, but since it was about 11am, there were no dogs there. Has anyone ever been to this park - if so, how do I get there and what is it called?

Thanks!

It's the Bark Park @ Eagle Creek. You can reach it off of 56th Street & High School Rd. I have never been there but a friend lives near by and takes her dog a lot and loves it.

we go there it is eagle creek bark park and we love to play and run with some of the pups as well as the high grass in the corner we run and run it.
It's not to bad in the am but evening dogs are usually grumpy and aggressive so you have to be careful in the evenings and weekends. We really like the little dogs and have good little friends that like to run with us. right now the wooded section is open and we run in and out of there like gazelles. We plan on going tomorrow if it isn't raining, maybe we'll see you there sometime.

You should have stopped by and said "Hi" while visiting my wonderful city. lol

We have been to Eagle Creek Bark Park once for a meet and greet with the Pyrs and it seemed like a really nice park. I really wished we lived closer, we'd probably go often.

Yes me and Sophi go there,
I like to mosey and play with the little dogs and chase Sophi the brat, she will steal my ball and run so I have to chase her.

I used to go to the Eagle Creek Bark park once in a while, and always had good experiences there. Last time though, not only had they raised the one-day visitor pass price per dog from $3 to $5, they also required a $75 deposit for the key! I don't know about you all, but that's not exactly pocket change for me to let someone else hang on to. I didn't ask if I could give them a check and get it back from them or if it had to be cash. So I just went to the park behind the HS on Michigan, which actually has a few more amenities (access to a human potty and water and baby pools in the bark park) and all they do is hold onto your car keys. If you do want to go to Eagle Creek though, it is very round-about to get to, and you go to the main park entrance to get the pass & then back-track to the bark park.
