Cable Guy Problems

Boomer on Activities - Wed, August 13 2008

Why won't Dad let me help the cable guy? The cable guy comes over and I do nothing except tell him how he needs to do his job. I nose into where he's cutting and what he is programing. Dad looks and there I am walking across the cable box. Dad says, "Boomer, he doesn't need your help." Then he picks me up and locks me in his room! The nerve! I only wanted to watch Animal Planet in HD and I wanted to be sure the bozo fixing up the box was doing it right. Why does Dad think I would ever be a hinderance to the guy? I can't believe it. I guess I'll just sleep on Dad's bed until the cable guy leaves and Dad decides to let me out. Hmmph!

I know..how does he know the cable dude doesn't need your help?? You're a very intelligent feline. I had the same problem with the guy who did some plumbing. I'm up under the sink, checking his work, making sure he's doing it right..don't want my Mama being ripped off. And she made me get out. I of course went right back. He just laughed. Obviously, Mama was the only one who minded my assistance.

I understand. Mom seems to think that the piano tuner doesn't need my help, either. My ears are waaay better than his. I have climbed into his tuning tools to shed on them. He said that's ok, just don't pee...

I like to help the Cable guy too...take a break to play ball with me. When he was working in my yard, I kept tossing my ball into the trench he was digging. Parents don't understand our need to supervise
