It's one of those stories that can just crush, then reaffirm your faith in the human species...

Her new parents must be angels in disguise. I can't imagine taking on a child in that condition at that age. It's great for Dani that they did. While they will all have a special place for them after this life, so will Dani's biological mother although I suspect hers will be much hotter.

incredible story . It really makes you think about what the vulnerable members of society face ,including the elderly .I guess all we can do is keep our eyes open and pay attention to what goes on around us.

I don't if anyone has read the reader comments, but here's an interesting one (pet related!):

"There are so many sad yet heartwarming things in this incredulous story. One thing that struck me was the similarities of Dani's vacant stare to that of dogs rescued from puppy mills. They have that same vacant look & little reaction except fear."

Her new parents have to be some of the most caring people on the planet! Her biological mother just makes the case for spay/neuter of humans. Certain people shouldn't have children because they can't even care for themselves. Then to top it off, she hurts herself and gets out of community service. What a waste of DNA! I have to stop now because I'm way to worked up!!
