We're taking the family truckster to the State Fair this afternon! It's something we do every year and love every minute. (Except when it's 90 degrees)...

Is anyone from here going today? It's short notice, I should have posted this last night. Thought we could meet up for a bit and oh, I don't know.... eat?! Ribeye sandwhich is top of my list this year adn then there's the banana foster cheesecake on a stick.. omg.

We're not taking our dogs, but are dogs allowed? I rememeber seeing one there last year.

We usually take a day of and go, but decided not to this year. Have a ball, and pet the horses for me, please!

Have fun!!! I wish I could go! I love to pet the farm animals! Sometimes, I don't even go to the midway. I just hang out with the animals. The fair train runs right behind my house. Every time I hear it, it makes me want to go to the fair! I LOVE lemon shake-ups and elephant ears!

Mom and dad were going to go today but they are babysitting the 2 little braty dogs. They are Zoe and Turbo and they belong to my skin sister. The tiny male brat tries to bite me all of the time. He gets a lot of time outs. I'm counting the hours for when they go back home. Both are Chihuahuas and they are lucky that I don't see them as rabbits.

Mom here...Daisy is the bestest dog. She is so sweet with the two brats and I feel so bad for her for having to put up with them. Beagles Rule!!

My understanding is that only the only dogs allowed are those that are staying with their families in the animal barns. I believe they are supposed to stay with the animals. The reasoning is that there is no one at home to care for the dogs. The only other exception is 4-H dog training dogs, and only in that area.

Please have a lemon shake up for me. And a tenderloin. And some fried veggies. Oh, and funnel cake. And maybe a footlong corndog accompanied by a butter-dripping corn on the cob for the ride home? **burp** Have fun!

Not today, but we're going tomorrow!!!! We are going to ride the Fair Train from Fishers, too, and I've never been on a train. My husband and stepson have never been to the State Fair, can you believe it? This will be our first time to go together in 9 years. I'm very excited and yes, I must sample an ear of corn from every corn vendor. I will think of my friends while I'm there :) xoxo D

Mom and dad went to the fair yesterday. Said they had a great time. They saw Jump the ultimate dog show and said those dogs are so talented. Great fun. And they saw Marcan Tigers of India and said the show was amazing. The trainers believe in postive training with food and loving word encouragements. You can tell the trainers love the tigers and that the tigers love them. There was lots of tiger kisses towards the trainers. Now about the food. Mom really liked the lobster bites from Murphy steakhouse tent and had fair favorite corn dog. Dad liked the lamb brat with onions/green peppers and loved the cheeseburger on a stick. He liked it so much that before they left the fair he bought a few to take home. BUT, Did I get any? NOOOOOOO, Dad said no CHEESEBURGER for me because I'm on a stupid diet. Well, he's supposed to be on a diet too. SO UNFAIR!!!!
