Cicada cemetary

Hoover on Behavior - Thu, August 07 2008

You know those cicada wasp killers that was talked about last week? Well, they live in my yard AND under the deck! The bad thing is that the wasps bring their kill (a cicada) to the deck and try to drag those dead, fat bugs through the deck slats!! THEY DON'T FIT so there are dead cicadas all over.

Not only that but the one wasp actually had a show down with me. He looked me eye to eye like he was challenging me. Mom said, "No Hoovie!" and "leave it!". She made me back down and I was so embarrassed. That wasp buzzed away laughing. I heard it.

We'll all be glad when those ugly bugs are gone (both kinds). They're so ugly. Did I mention that they are ugly?

Hoover, they are at our house. I am trying to catch them. I'm not sure why FM keeps yelling at me about it. But, so far, no luck.

I don't get to chase them either. I give a warning snap now and then, but mom's all over that with the "leave it" command. Does she no how much I hate that?
