Jack on Activities - Wed, August 06 2008

Today we were just playing in the yard when I discovered the gate wasn't latched. Dad was busy playing computer games so Calvin and I made out like bandits. Dad thought it was weird we weren't trying to get back in so he checked on us. We were way down the street(still in back yards). He called for us to come and Calvin ran all the way home only to realize I didn't follow so he turned to come back to me which made me run (the wrong way). So as a sweet deal dad got us some yummy hot dogs. Thank God mom wasn't home she would have freaked out. Some lady had the nerve to tell dad "There are sidewalks you know" when he was walking us back home. They said something about a padlock from now on.

Jack, you gotta stay home! It freaks everyone out when you go wandering, and its really not safe. At least your dad had more sense than my mom when Sheila got out. You're dad went straight for the good stuff. Our mom played the chase game - stupid mom!

Oh my Dog, Jack! That sort of thing scares humans a lot. That's the last thing your mama needs with everything else on her plate right now. Thank Dog your dad was able to lure you back, and kudos to Calvin for coming back on his own, then retrieving you.

Glad you made it back safely, Jack. Your dad was smart to get the hot dogs! I would come back for a hot dog or two....
