I don't understand presents

Abby does this weird thing when the people come home from someplace without us. She'll grab a toy or a bone or something, run up to the people and give it to them. They take it, she whimpers, they give it back. What is that?
I make it easier. I grab the toy and just run around and around them. Then they pat me on the head. I think it's a lot more efficient that way, don't you?

Yeah and then there are the weird kitty presents like dead rodents or birds. I think our moms and dads would much rather have one of our slimy toys!

I'm still learning about this indoor living thing. I don't bring toys to people. I just bark and bark when people come home. Wouldn't carrying toys hinder loud barking?

oooh..I bring my ball to each and every person when they come home or over for a visit. It's my way to say Bienvenue to Chez Jacque!
